Our Story

A workshop built on reverence for old glass.

Founded by master craftsman Henrique Lima, HM Historical Conservation has spent more than 17 years restoring the windows that give New York's landmark buildings their character. From our Newark workshop, factory-trained artisans return historic sash, leaded panels, and stained glass to their original integrity — pane by pane, joint by joint.

Our work includes more than 70 windows at The Dorilton, one of Manhattan's most ornate Beaux-Arts landmarks, and the painstaking re-creation of curved glass for a Brooklyn Heights brownstone. Every project honors the original maker's intent while meeting today's preservation standards.
